Dear members of The Equity Intersection learning community,
I’m writing to let you know about the evolution of our learning community from the non-profit organization Equity Intersection to a sole proprietor organization working independently and in affiliation with various local and national non-profits. The Equity Intersection Board has voted to dissolve in accordance with Massachusetts and Federal laws. The decision to change our status will allow me to offer all virtual courses and events free of charge by lowering our overhead.
From our first courses in January 2021 Equity Intersection has provided learning communities for students from all over the United States, and around the world, while also expanding our offerings to new in-person venues in the Boston metropolitan area. These courses have all addressed issues of diversity, equity and inclusion in a historical context, while also helping students make sense of the spiraling and frightening changes afflicting our country today. As a sole proprietor I am committed to continuing this work. In the coming year I will be offering in-person courses on antisemitism, changes in the nature of journalism in the digital age, The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison, James by Percival Everett, as well as offering virtual courses and events. I will continue to communicate with you via email and through a new website, www.joshfrankteaches.com. Check it out!
Thank you to all of you who have supported Equity Intersection since 2021. I look forward to continuing our learning journey together, come what may.
Best,
Josh Frank
